Almost done with the race car

Why do anything ahead of time, when you can wait until the very last minute? That seems to be our team motto, as we're still prepping the car for the race.
We still have some important things to do, like roll cage, brakes, wheels, tires. But we did get the car running, with most of the fabrication done.

Here the car is actually on the ground and running. We took it for a spin around the block a few times, enough to piss off a neighbor and have him come running after us.

Notice our home made intercooler piping, made out of scrap pipe, using a professional pipe beader. The pipe beader made all the difference in making the piping look professional quality. That and a little bit of spray paint.

Of course, we had to use the famous Front Mount Intercooler of the starion.




Notice the brick, aka cruise control on the accelerator pedal.



Roll cage is going in soon, along with our steelie wheels. More pics to come!
